9. The Local Picture Gallery The idea of a local picture gallery in Pihlajisto is just an opening to a tool which will be further developed in the Maunula case study. The Picture Gallery will form an database for an interactive GIS-based application, a kind of local memory to the residents and to the municipality as well. The Maunula application of the Picture Gallery will emphasize the cultural heritage of the built environment.
